Everest Three High Passes trekking begins with a short panoramic flight from Kathmandu to land at Lukla’s Tenzing & Hillary airport. An interesting town with a unique airstrip, flying over rolling green hills and valleys with grand views of Himalayan peaks.
Walk follows on the main gradual trail with pleasant overnight stops, as the trek heads towards the famous Namche Bazaar. A large village provides various facilities for interested trekkers from well-stock shops and stores to lovely hotels and lodges.
A great place for rest and acclimatization days with time for a short hike around its beautiful viewpoints. From Namche, the walk follows a forested path to a scenic high spot at Tengboche and its majestic-looking monastery.
Enjoy the marvelous panorama of high snow peaks that surrounds Tengboche and the monastery with views of Mt. Everest. Have time here for a brief tour of the impressive monastery interior enriched with ancient idols and religious paintings.
From Tengboche on the trail to Dingboche, located on a scenic Imjatse valley enclosed by an array of towering peaks. Where one can enjoy views of famous and popular Island Peak with Ama Dablam North Face with Lhotse and Nuptse.
Another day at Dingboche for a pleasant hike and acclimatization before crossing the first high Kongma-La Pass. The adventure begins from Chukung, a small settlement situated on the east end of Imjatse valley.
The adventure starts on leaving the Imjatse valley and heading into a mountain gorge and gully with a steep climb to Kongma-La.
The highest of all three passes, on reaching the top a long descent to Khumbu glacier, then at Lobuche.
After Kongma-La passes overnight at Lobuche, the adventure leads to Everest base camp, a popular destination around Khumbu. At Everest base camp standing beneath towering peaks of Lhotse and Nuptse with tumbling Khumbu Ice-Fall at close distance.
The next adventure, is a climb to Kalapathar hill, the highest point of the adventure at 5,643 m / 18,514 feet high. From Kalapathar, overlooking a tremendous panorama of giant peaks that encircles the rocky hilltop with the closest views of Mt. Everest.
Enjoying grand scenery from the highest spot of the trip, walk downhill past Gorakshep and Lobuche to Dzongla. Located in an isolated corner with few simple lodges, beneath the Cho-La Pass. Next early morning a big climb on top of Cho-La, the pass separates Gokyo and the eastern side of Khumbu valley.
From the second high pass of Cho-La enjoy the glorious views of Cholatse, Nirekha, and Lobuche peaks with Mt. Cho-Oyu. A slow and steady descent reaches beautiful Gokyo valley and its scenic emerald-colored lakes.
One of the most picturesque areas around the Himalayas range, enclosed by giant mountains with close views of Mt. Cho-Oyu. At Gokyo enjoy the rest day with a hike to Gokyo-Ri hilltop, which offers magnificent views of the world’s four highest peaks.
On top Gokyo-Ri looking fabulous views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho-Oyu with a series of peaks. Includes dramatic views of Gokyo valley and the lakes with Ngozumba the longest glaciers of Nepal and the Himalayas.
Our adventurous journey slowly comes to an end to cross the last high pass over Renjo-La. An early morning start walking south end of Gokyo Lake, as climb leads to a steep haul on top Renjo-La. From the high ridge enjoy a grand panorama of the world’s highest peaks, the view is almost the same as from Gokyo-Ri.
Completing all three high passes of Everest, a long descent reaches a quant isolated village in Thame. Situated on the western side of Khumbu, seldom visited by the main flow of trekkers, Thame is famous for its old monastery.
After Thame on the trail to Namche Bazaar as the adventure ends at Lukla for the last overnight around Khumbu. From Lukla the next morning a swift panoramic flight brings you to Kathmandu. After a mesmerizing adventure on Everest Three High Passes Trekking.
Things to know on Everest Three High Passes Trek:
Trekkers might be unaware that Mt. Lhotse, the world's 4th highest peaks share the same base camp as Mt. Everest.
Mt. Everest at present in last few years is officially a little higher than before.
The new agreed height of Mt. Everest is 8,848.86 meters / 29,031.69 feet, which was announced at a virtual ceremony by both countries Nepal and China.
Likewise, the actual height of Kalapathar Hill and view top is 5,643 m / 18,514 feet high, as there are two tops the lower and higher. The lower top of Kalapathar is at 5,545 m. high, the main top is slightly higher both ridges offers the grand views of Mt. Everest.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: From Kathmandu fly to Lukla 2, 820 m, trek to Phakding 2,645 m- 04 hrs.
Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m / 11, 350 feet - 06 hrs.
Day 04: At Namche for acclimatization and a short scenic hike.
Day 05: Trek to Tengboche 3,867 m - 05 hrs.

Day 12: Cross Cho-La pass 5,420 m and descend to Thagnak 4,760 m-08 hrs.
Day 13: Trek to Gokyo main 3rd Lakes 4,800 m-04 hrs.
Day 14: At Gokyo rest day and hike to Gokyo-Ri at 5,357 m high.
Day 15: Cross Renjo-La 5,360 m, and descend to Lungden 4,340 m- 07 hrs.
Day 16: Trek to Thame 3,880 m-05 hrs.
Day 17: Trek to Namche Bazaar- 04 hrs.
Day 18: Trek to Lukla - 06 hours.
Day 19: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu with afternoon free at leisure.
Day 20: At Kathmandu free day at leisure.
Day 21: Depart for International Departure.

Best Seasons:
For Everest Three High Passes trekking,the best seasons are in spring and autumn/fall, where days are crystal clear for views and pleasant walks.
The spring times begin from March till May, the high seasons for trekking to Everest base camp and around the Himalayas.
Most days are clear fine and bright with sunshine, which can get overcast in the late afternoon. Chances of snowfall sometimes on higher terrain, cold in the morning late afternoon, and nighttime. The mid-hills are lively with wildflowers in seasonal bloom, especially the rhododendron of various species from trees to a bush.
The next best time is in autumn/fall, one of the peak seasons. For trekking around the Himalayas and Everest Three Passes, most days are crystal clear for views and scenic walks. However, the days are shorter due to fewer sun-light hours, much colder morning and late afternoon till night time.
Chances of snowfall sometimes during the walk around higher areas above 3,000 m high, but with a bright starry night sky.
Religion, Culture of Everest, and high Khumbu:
The Sherpa of Everest around high Khumbu follows Tibetan Buddhism known as Mahayana or Greater Wheel. Established by great Guru Rinpoche Padamasamba in the 7th Century, reforming Buddhism which was near to extinct.
The culture, tradition, and heritage are similar to its Tibetan predecessors, the Sherpa migrated from the Eastern part of Tibet. More than 500 years of history, and the word Sherpa means Sher for East and Pa for people.
Interesting villages of Sherpa to explore and to observe the immense impressive cultures of age-old heritage. The name for Everest in the native Sherpa language is Chomolungma of Tibetan origin, which Nepali calls Sagarmatha.
In both languages means a ‘Great Mother’, and most villages are adorned with religious flags and monuments of prayer walls.
Every village houses impressive monasteries and shrines, which you will have time to explore and observe.
Sherpa celebrates New Year called Losar, which falls at the end of February or the beginning of March. According to the Tibetan Buddhist Lunar calendar, based on animals and birds, the year 2022 is a year of a Tiger.
The other main festival celebrated around high Khumbu is Mani-Rimdu, which takes place en route to Everest base camp. At Tengboche monastery, the event takes place at end of October or the first week of November.
